A 9 year-old girl in Mexico gave birth to a baby boy and now her parents are searching for the father.

A 9 year-old gave birth to a baby boy in Mexico last month and now the authorities are searching for the father.

The mother who is being identified as "Dafne" was in a committed relationship with the 17 year-old father who got her pregnant when she was only 8 years-old. She had no idea she was carrying a baby in her stomach until she was 7 months pregnant.

The mother and daughter were realeased from the hospital last week and it is unclear how well they are doing. A Law enforcement official said they are determined to find the father, “We are looking for the young man to get his story, because she does not understand what has happened.”
