A.J. Swope Missed By Family, Friends & Fans
A.J. Swope was killed in a vehicle accident on Tuesday, family and friends come together for remembrance.
Andrew Jared Swope, or AJ Swope, 27, was killed near Canadian River on Monday, January 15th in a two vehicle accident on his way to Dumas.
Swope was well know in Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle. He graduated West Texas A&M University in 2007 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. After he graduated he worked as an on air Reporter, Anchor and Assignments Director for KVII - Pronews 7.
In 2009 Swope moved on to become the Executive Director for Class 4 Winds. But his passion was music, playing numerous events in and around the Texas Panhandle with his band "AJ Swope & The Last Train Home." The band released their latest album "Hotel St. James" in 2012.
Rest in Peace AJ, you will be missed.
