A Christmas tradition in Amarillo is going to see the beautiful lights in the Amarillo Botanical Gardens.  The Gardens are decorated with over 400,000 lights.  It's a beautiful sight to see, but changes are coming this year.

As long as the Amarillo Botanical Gardens have been hosting Christmas in the Gardens, it was free to attend.  They did ask for a donation a the door, but that was up to the attendee to donate.  However that is changing this year, the Amarillo Botanical Gardens will be charging a per person fee to attend this year.

The cost will be $5 for adults, $2 kids 6-12.

This is still an very affordable evening out to see all the beautiful lights.

Christmas in the Gardens will take place every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday November 29th-December 23rd.

You may be asking why all of a sudden are they charging?  The Amarillo Botanical Gardens is a non-profit organization in Amarillo and the cost to put on Christmas in the Garden is increasingly growing so to be able to continue the Christmas lights they are charging and entrance fee.

It's going to be a great year and everyone is encouraged to attend on or more of the evenings it will be open.
