High school football is officially underway in the Texas Panhandle.

Week two had its fair share of wins among Amarillo teams.

Amarillo High brought home the biggest win, with a 55-0 win over Odessa. Caprock slipped by Bushland, winning the game 49-42. Tascosa won 48-28 against the Plainview Bulldogs. Canyon also prevailed, winning their game against Monahans 55-34.

Unfortunately, Randall lost 34-21 against the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates.

Today kicks off Hell Week for the Tascosa Rebels and the Amarillo High Sandies, who will face each other on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Their rivalry is well-known and goes back for decades.

In previous years, Hell Week has resulted in vandalism to public and private property. However, both schools are enforcing strict policies against any activity directed at the rival school.

Caprock and Randall will play this Thursday and PD will play in Wichita Falls against Rider.
