Amarillo Mayor Ginger Nelson is helping come up with a plan for Cleaner Alleys

Amarillo Mayor Ginger Nelson says on her Facebook page that the city is taking a new temporary approach to illegal dumping in city alleys.

Mayor Nelson now tells us that it is best to call the city and tell them you need the large item picked up and to place them in front of your house on the curb.

The newly elected Mayor says the front curb this will allow a better faster pick up.

She also recommends to call the city and let them know so they can pick up in a 24 hour time period.

The change is temporary, The city says they are continuing to work on a plan for cleaning up the alleys in Amarillo.
