Summer is here and if you love hanging out at the pool but could use a little cash, how about working at the pool?  Amarillo Parks and Recreation is looking for a few lifeguards.

Nobody wants to spend their summer working, but if you could use a little extra cash why not get a cool fun job.  Amarillo Parks and Recreation is looking for a few responsible people to become life guards at the city pools.

Life guards are needed for all three pools: Thompson Pool, Southeast Pool, and Southwest Pool.  No past experience is required but you do need to be a good swimmer and you will have to pass a lifeguard test before being hired.

If you are interested in an awesome summer job at one of the local pools, call the city's aquatics department at 378-9391.

And if you would love to be a lifeguard but are a little too young, you can check out the Jr. Guard program.  This is for kids ages 11-15 that would like to learn basic lifeguarding skills.
