Amarillo Police Officer Arrested For Sexual Assault

Officer Donald Ray Sanders Jr. was arrested and booked into Randall county jail on sexual assault charges.

He has been booked with a $75,000 bond. Sanders was apparently the liaison officer at Caprock High School in Amarillo, Texas before his termination earlier this month. Police stated that the incident is not connected to his assignment as a liaison officer and is still under investigation.

Sanders has been a police officer in Amarillo since 2003.
