APD Launches “Safe Shopper Project” To Put More Officers Out During Shopping Season

With more people out on the road during the holiday season, criminals will be looking to steal from cars, homes, stores, etc. But the Amarillo Police Department is ready to counter act.

On Thanksgiving the APD assigned additional officers to patrol the streets for what they call the "Safe Shopper Project" or their annual "Holiday Patrol." Not only will they be looking out for thefts, but drunk drivers, speeding and other criminal activities.
