While the New Year’s Six bowls turned out to be clunkers, the second week of bowl season brought us some of the wildest games of the year.
Chad Kelly threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns as Ole Miss blew out Oklahoma State to take home the Rebels’ first Sugar Bowl trophy since 1969.
On the first snap of the game, Christian McCaffrey took a pass 75-yards for a score. That was just the beginning of a record-setting day for the Heisman runner-up.
No. 2 Alabama was in championship form in the Cotton Bowl, shutting out No. 3 Michigan State, 38-0, and punching its ticket into the national title game.
No. 1 Clemson’s undefeated season continued as the Tigers locked up a spot in the national championship game with a 37-17 win over No. 4 Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl.
