I am sure that most every one is familiar with the Westboro Baptist church. They are most famous for the fact that they protest Military funerals. They stand feet from grieving mothers, fathers, widows and children spouting some of the most terrible and vial things towards these HEROES families.

Well, a DJ 'Charley Barnes' and a group of his motorcycle buddies made it a point to visit the church in Topeka Kansas, and they were heard. Months ago the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Westboro Baptist Church allowing them to picket military funerals as a 1st Amendment Right.

Charley had enough and went to Topeka to make his stand, according to his rights. While the whole incident lasted only about a day, the Members of the Westboro Baptist 'Cult' we flabbergasted and dumbfounded with local police actually sided with Charley and his buddies 'Kenny Oldson and Jay Tamlin, along with Chad Blanco', and made sure they were doing the 'legal' thing.

Before it's all said and done, Charley and his buddies are down at a park (where the Westboro Church) was protesting a Military Funeral) standing side by side with these nuts, Charley and his buddies waved their flags and whistled the Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America. While standing there, cars driving by honked wildly in support of Charley and his Motorcycle buds.

Westboro finally got so upset they dashed back through the park and left.

Here is one thing Charley had to say about the trip:

I have to say that on the ride home I felt 10 times better than I thought I would.  I knew I would feel good but ‘good’ doesn’t do it justice.  We DID make a difference and we were only 4 bodies from 600 miles away and we rocked their entire day!  Was the 1300 mile trip worth it in high humidity with temps at 101?  You bet!

Just hearing this story makes me realize that there are real, true Americans out there who are willing to stand up for what is right in this country! Way to go Charley and GOD BLESS!
