Every spring we go through daylight's saving time.  So when March comes the question on everyone's mind:  when do we move our clocks?

Many moons ago, the United States and several other countries decided they wanted to maximize the daylight and save energy.  Daylight's savings time was created.  So what does that mean for us?

Well it means that we'll get more sunlight later in the day.  Instead of the sun setting at 6:00 pm, it will continue to shine into the evening.  The bad part, we lose an hour of sleep.

So when does this daylight's savings start?  Good question.  This weekend.  The exact date and time is Sunday, March 10th at 2:00 am.  So you might want to think about going to bed early Saturday or plan on sleeping in on Sunday.

We will be 'springing' forward, so instead of it being 2:00 am we will bump the time to 3:00 am.  Most electronic devices change automatically, like your cell phone or computer.  But if you have an older alarm clock, wall clock or need to change the clock in your car the best bet would be to set them Saturday night before you go to bed.

Happy Daylight's Savings time!
