Summer is here, so that means that lots of lemonade will be getting made.  Here are some awesome ways to jazz it up.

I love lemonade and so does my family.  But ordinary lemonade can sometimes get boring.  Here are a few recipes that will help jazz up your lemonade and make it the hit refreshment of the summer.

Strawberry Lemonade Fizz

You need 4 cups fresh strawberries, 3/4 cups fresh lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar, and 24 ounces lemon-lime soda, divided.

Wash the strawberries and remove the leaves.  Set aside 8 strawberries.  Slice up the remaining berries and mix with lemon juice and sugar in a blender.  Strain it to get rid of unwanted seeds.  Pour in pitcher and top off with soda.  Then use the 8 strawberries as a garnish.

Frozen Lemonade

You will need 1 thinly sliced lemon, 1 2/3 cups superfine sugar, 3 cups cold water, 1 1/4 cups lemon juice and 4 cups of ice.  Get the thinly sliced lemon and 1 2/3 cups sugar in a bowl and mash it with a spoon or fork.  Add 3 cups cold water and 1 1/4 cups lemon juice and let stand for 5 minutes  Stir it occasionally.  Then strain it really well.  Puree half of lemon juice mixture and 4 cups ice in a blender until smooth.  Viola!

Watermelon Lemonade

You will need 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 2 cups fresh lemon juice and 4 squeezed lemons reserved, and 4 cups chopped watermelon.

Boil 6 cups water, sugar and salt over high heat, stirring occasionally.  Remove from saucepan and add reserved lemons.  Cover and let it stand for 10 minutes.

While that is setting, blend the watermelon with a cup of water.  Pour the lemon syrup and watermelon puree through a strainer into a pitcher.  Now stir in the lemon juice.  Chill or serve over night.
