Apparently, they can found found all over town.

I was scrolling through Facebook when I saw a picture of this flier, posted by someone who lives in Amarillo.

After some investigating, I found out that several people I know, including people at the radio station, had seen these around town.

The flier was created by Amarillo Citizens For Open Government and asks for people of Amarillo to share their stories of police abuse in order to make a difference.

Amarillo Citizens For Open Government is an organization founded by Reverend Herman Moore and Jeff Blackburn. Here is a statement from their website:

This system cannot be changed until it is understood. We call for the Amarillo City Council and the Potter and Randall County Commissioners Courts to hire an independent organization to do a top-to-bottom, honest and fair audit of the Amarillo criminal justice system.

There is a PDF of the full poster on their website.

The recent deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile in police altercations, as well as several other deaths in situations involving the police over the past few years, have put police tactics under immense scrutiny.

There have also been several attacks on police in the past few weeks. One shooter killed 5 officers in Dallas on July 7th and another killed 3 officers in Baton Rouge on the 18th.
