The holidays are all about indulging in great food with the ones ya love most. But at my house the one I love most - my husband Lane- and I never seem to agree on the food. He comes from a long line of great cooks , and my line of great cooks ended with me lol.  He's all about home made EVERYTHING and I'm all about quick and easy anything.  I once made him chicken and dumplings using canned biscuits for dumplings, and a bag of frozen chicken. While I thought it was pretty damn good, he pulled out his Great- Great Grandmothers cookbook and started making the dough for home made dumplings. Yeah, home made dumplings. Who even knew that was an option lol.

Ya can't go wrong with those break and bake cookies, but according to the Betty Crocker I'm married to, only the cookie recipe in the cookbook that dates back over 100 years is really good enough to be called a cookie. I followed that recipe and they ended up tasting like they were made over 100 years ago. I'm all about quick and easy, and he's all about details and the process. So, I've decided to compromise, and just let him do all the cooking :)  What about you ? Do you go for whatever is easiest or do you prefer to put in the extra work to get a recipe just right ?  Take the poll and let me know !
