Hunter Hayes recently showed that he can definitely sing something other than country, as he took on OneRepublic's massive hit 'Counting Stars' during tour rehearsal.

The 22-year-old is currently road tripping on his 2014 We're Not Invisible Tour, which hit the road late March and runs through the end of May.

And, judging from this video, it sounds like his fans can look forward to Hayes' continuing to play his own rendition of 'Counting Stars.' Like OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, Hayes absolutely owns the high and low notes of the song, especially right before the bridge.

The really fun part comes when the country star races over to the piano at the end, and pounds out a few notes, making for an exciting and climactic ending.

Hayes isn't the only star to cover 'Counting Stars.' Dierks Bentley partnered with OneRepublic on 'CMT Crossroads,' and he ended the song with a little bit of crowd surfing.
