Intoxicated Man Tried To Kidnap 16 Year-Old Girl From North Amarillo

A 16 year-old girl was nearly kidnapped by a drunk man in North Amarillo on Monday.

A 16 year-old girl was walking to a friends house in the Mesa Verde area in North Amarillo when she noticed a vehicle was following right behind her. The vehicle then pulls up next to her and offers her money several times if she would get inside of the vehicle with the driver.

The girl was able to get away from the vehicle and the Amarillo Police Department was called on a possible kidnapping.

Antonio Veloz Flores, 44, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance at a correctional facility and unlawful restraint of a child under 17.
