Is There A Rapist On The Loose In Amarillo?

This has NOT been confirmed or denied, but there possibly could be a rapist on the loose in Amarillo.

How unsafe would you feel if there was a rapist on the loose in your area and you knew nothing about it? That is what could be happening right now to Amarillo residents in the Paramount area.

A DJ from our sister station 96.9 KISS FM received a message on Facebook saying their is a rapist in Amarillo targeting females in the Paramount area. He has raped two women so far and could have raped another but luckily she was able to fight and get away.

This has area residents scared and some are even mad because police officials nor the media have reported anything on this, leaving residents to wonder "what if.' Below is the message to the DJ, read it and let me know if you really think this story is something Amarillo residents should worry about or if it just someone making something up.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: Yesterday I was notified by a friend that there is a rapist in Amarillo that has not been caught yet. I am not sure why the Amarillo Police Dept and news stations have not released this information to the public, but I want to spread the word so more women are not attacked. The police department might be afraid that it will scare the suspect off if they release any information but I don’t think it is right to keep this quiet. This situation is very upsetting to me. It has taken place in my neighborhood and I had no idea it was even going on. The details that were given to me are as follows: An African American male is following women home and attacking them. He has raped two women and attempted a third who fought back and got away. He has been in the Paramount area. Please keep your doors locked, your children inside and an eye out for any suspicious activity until this man is caught. Please pass this information along to your family and friends. Thank You!
