Hunger is something that affects millions of children worldwide.  It is amazing when celebrities can come together to fight it.  JB and the Moonshine band Casey Donahew's "Help Stop Hunger" Golf Classic 2012.

On Monday, a lot of amazing people came together to fight hunger in North Central Texas.  JB and the Moonshine Band were happy to join such an amazing cause.  Last night the band, along with Casey Donahew and a special guest put on an acoustic show all to benefit Tarrant Area Food Bank "BackPacks for Kids" Program!

The event was actually Casey Donahew's 2nd annual "Help Stop Hunger" Golf Classic 2012.  JB and the Moonshine Band took part in all the sporting events during the day and then hit the stage at night, at the Southern Oaks Golf Course in Burleson, Tx.

The "Backpack for Kids" program is designed to send food home for the weekends.  The Tarrant area food bank has this program in a school where 80% or more of the students are eligible for free and reduced-cost meals.  Some of these kids only eat at school and go hungry on the weekends.  On Fridays, the kids are sent home food that can be easily accessed without the help of adults.

In 2011-2012, school year 2011-12, Tarrant Area Food Bank provided weekend backpacks of kid-friendly food to 29 schools in the counties of Hamilton, Johnson, Parker and Tarrant.

This is an amazing event and JB and the Moonshine Band were pretty amazing for helping out.
