Happy JesusWeen just doesn't have the same ring to it as happy Halloween. But one uber Christian group who go by the same name, JesusWeen , are encouraging Christians to do things a little differently this year. According to their website (well of course they have a website )  there's just one thing to dress up as this Halloween.

The nonprofit group is asking Christians to dress in white and hand out Bibles to trick or treaters. Those going door to door are asked to spread the gospel instead of asking for candy.

Ok, speaking as a Christian myself I think it  is ridiculous. Probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Could you imagine having your door bell ring all night only to find a pint size preacher standing on your doorstep. Yes, it means more candy for me but I do not have the patients. God and I are good and I do not need your toddler to handle that for me. K , thanks :) . Now lets talk about the name. I mean if you are going to try and change a centuries old night of fun at least up your game on the name. JesusWeen? First of all it kind of sounds like a Jesus detox program and I think that kinda defeats the purpose. Here's how their oh so creative team came up with this one.

"The dictionary meaning of Ween is to expect, believe or think. We therefore see October 31st as a day to expect a gift of salvation and re-think receiving Jesus."

I mean , can't you do that while still handing out delicious sugary treats ? If ya don't like it just don't participate. Or just be the house that gives out toothbrushes or apples. What do you think , will it be Halloween or Jesusween for you this year???
