Karen Klein, the 68-year-old Rochester, New York area bus monitor who was viciously bullied by a group of middle school students in what became a shocking viral video, is making the media rounds.

During her appearance on ‘Anderson Cooper 360′ Thursday night, the grandmother of eight rejected a written apology Josh, one of her tormentors, had made through the police.

“I am so sorry for the way I treated you,” Cooper read aloud to Klein. “When I saw the video, I was disgusted and could not believe I did that. I am sorry for being so mean and I will never treat anyone this way again.”

“Of course he’s going to say anything,” Klein quickly shot back, adding that she knows Josh a little and doesn’t believe he is being sincere. She also rejected an apology another one of the bullies wrote adding that, among other things, neither apology had been delivered to her.

She did, however, say that she doesn’t believe the bullies are bad kids “deep down.”

As for the half a million dollars which has been raised in a “Lets Give Karen -the bus monitor- Klein A Vacation! fund”?

“That much? I don’t know, I just don’t feel like it’ll come to me anyway, so I don’t think too much about it,” she told Cooper. “It’s a nice gesture, but I just don’t know if it’s for real or not.”

While we certainly understands Klein’s skepticism, we suspect she really is headed for a vacation of a lifetime. Watch the entire interview below.
