Are you this guy?  Jumping IN the water to film a blue whale up close and personal? Or, are you more likely to kayak yourself right OUT of the blue whale breaching zone screaming all the way to shore?

59 seconds in the fun begins.   I admire the adventure of kayaking in the ocean but, I prefer a bigger boat-preferably 'navy carrier' size. I have had the pleasure of whale watching off the coast of California a couple of years ago and I was lucky to actually see a pod of whales gliding on top of  calm clear ocean surface.  It was an unforgettable feeling.  Watching these beautiful animals move effortlessly through the water, made me feel a little closer to nature.  But, as I watched from the boat-with the big motor, I felt small and vulnerable next to these mammoth mammals.  I was giddy-I screamed with joy watching them pass all around the boat and I wanted to jump on their back and take a ride to the bottom of the ocean.  But, then I realized I breathe air AND I signed the release form that stated if I  fell overboard-the boat owner would not be held liable.  So we made our way back to dry land and air breathing mammals with 2 feet.

Have you ever gone whale watching?  Would you rather watch them from a kayak or navy carrier?  And, would you jump in with them?
