Lauren Alaina Saddened by the Death of Her Dog, Bella

Lauren Alaina is mourning today as her Pomeranian, Bella, has died. The 17-year-old singer tweeted the sad news Thursday afternoon.

“Not having the best day. My dog Bella passed away. I just wanted to tell y’all because I know some of y’all love my dogs as much as I do,” she tweeted.

In September, Alaina talked about both Bella and her Shih Tzu Prissy during an interview with People. “Bella just likes to jump on you all the time,” she said. “She’s wild as a buck and she’s a lot like her momma because I’m like running all the time — full force, always.”

Prissy is a much calmer dog, except when it comes to dress up, then it’s the Pomeranian who’s chill. “Bella will leave the bow in, she’ll just chew her clothes off. They’re total opposites.”

Both pups settle down when it’s time for bed, however. Alaina said they sleep by her side every night, meaning it’s surely going to be a difficult sleep for the star on Thursday. On Saturday, she’ll have a show to take her mind off the loss. The ‘American Idol’ famer plays the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Fla.
