LeAnn Rimes swears that run-ins with husband Eddie Cibrian’s ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, aren’t awkward, though Us Magazine begs to differ. On Sunday (May 6), both women attended 5-year-old Jake Cibrian’s soccer game, and while the paparazzi photos captured by the mag make the interaction seem uncomfortable, the ‘Blue’ hitmaker insists that all is well in their combined world.

When fans asked Rimes on Twitter if she feels awkward running into Jake’s mom at his soccer games, she was quick to respond. “Nope! It’s our life and I’d do anything for those boys!” she said, adding, “I have a great time.”

Though the circumstances under which the country songstress and the television star got together were definitely fodder for the tabloids, it seems most likely that the singer is just comfortable enough in her new marriage not to let the past get her down. After all, she and Cibrian celebrated their one-year anniversary in Malibu a few weeks ago, and even took the time to renew their vows and recall the good memories from their successful first year as husband and wife.

If there’s awkwardness between Rimes and Glanville, it could be due to an ongoing battle between Cibrian and his ex-wife over her role on ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’ Glanville works around the clock filming the show, and Cibrian recently denied her request to allow five-year-old Jake and eight-year-old Mason to appear in the series.

Glanville took to Twitter to air her grievances (publicly calling her ex-husband some inappropriate names) and saying she wouldn’t get to see her kids enough otherwise, but both Rimes and Cibrian have been quiet about the family drama.
