LeAnn Rimes breathes new life into "How Do I Live," one of her all-time biggest hits with a reimagined version for 2018.

More than 20 years after Rimes recorded what became groundbreaking song at the young age of 14, she's offering fans a refreshed rendition that gives the song a whole new vibe. It's heavy on piano, and Rimes takes on a more dramatic tone, though her vocals shine through as purely as they did on the original recording.

Beautiful falsetto notes are weaved throughout as she sings: "How do I live without you? / How do I breathe without you? / How do I ever, ever survive / How do I, how do I, oh how do I live," masterfully holding each note.

"For my tour last year in the U.S. and U.K., we arranged ‘How Do I Live’ in a new way to reflect where I was coming from musically with my last album, Remnants. I wanted the arrangement of ‘How Do I Live’ to highlight the vulnerability of Diane’s lyric. It’s more of a spiritual experience singing the song this new way, a personal prayer," Rimes describes of the arrangement in a press release, adding that many fans wanted the new version after hearing it live. "I greatly appreciate and adore the original version and all that it has done ... that will always exist and never change. I would love for this new arrangement to sit alongside the original as a companion, highlighting what a classic song Diane Warren created.”

Rimes set a record in 1997 into 1998 when "How Do I Live" spent 69 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, a record that was later broken by Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours." The song also had 19 years holding the title of most time spent in the Top 5 on the Hot 100 chart for 25 consecutive weeks before the Chainsmokers topped it with "Closer."

Rimes will grace the stage at the 2018 Taste of Country Music Festival alongside Eric Church, Sam HuntAshley McBryde and more when the event takes over Hunter, N.Y. June 8-10.
