It's here. My first triathlon, the  Chick-Fil-A Sprint Triathlon,  will start tomorrow at 7am at John Stiff Memorial park. I'm both excited and nervous. Not sure why I'm nervous but there's no denying the fact that I have butterflies in my stomach. I know I could have prepared more but there's nothing more I can do now. In fact today I need to do as little as possible to help my muscles relax.

This first race is going to let me know where I stand--or if I'm still able to stand after swimming, biking, and running.  It's going to be an experience and I can't wait. The only thing I'm dreading is that I'll have to wake up pretty early tomorrow morning. This is nothing new to me but Saturday is my sleep in day.

The transition area opens at 5am and the race begins at 7am. So I need to get up about 4am and eat a little breakfast to give me some energy and eating early will give me time to digest it. I would like to get the transition area early so that I can figure out what I need to do there and pick a good spot and get my area ready.

Wish me luck. If you try to contact me on Saturday--I'll probably be taking a post race mega nap.
