Chad Carpenter, 33, of Glendale, Oklahoma was arrested after reportedly shooting at a car then leading the Amarillo Police Department, Texas DPS officers and Randall County officers on a car chase.

Carpenter was driving a white Ford Explorer when he pointed a gun at a motorcycle then shot a car, when officers arrived he then fled leading them on a one and a half hour car chase. Spike strips were laid to slow the vehicle down.

When the Explorer came to a complete stop after blowing out 3 tires, Carpenter then tried to flee the scene on foot. Police then tackled Carpenter and tased his to keep him under control. He was arrested then transported to the Hospital for evaluation the cleared and booked in jail.
