Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina are two of the performers set to take the Nationwide Insurance stage during the 2012 CMT Music Awards, which air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on June 6. The ‘American Idol’ alums, along with fellow country newcomers Casey James, Jana Kramer, the Farm and Kip Moore, will provide performances on a special stage that will be spotlighted throughout the star-studded awards ceremony.

Hosted by Toby Keith and actress Kristen Bell, the CMT Music Awards will feature main stage performances from a slew of country superstars, including Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Brad Paisley, the Band Perry, the Zac Brown Band, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Pistol Annies, Little Big Town, Willie Nelson and Hank Williams Jr. Click here for the full list of nominees.

Underwood leads the pack with an impressive five nominations, including Video of the Year for ‘Good Girl’ and her No. 1 duet with Brad Paisley, ‘Remind Me.’ Both McCreery and Alaina will vie for the USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year with ‘The Trouble With Girls’ and ‘Georgia Peaches,’ respectively.
