The holiday season came early on the set of QVC, as Scotty McCreery visited the popular home shopping network yesterday (Oct. 23) to promote 'Christmas With Scotty McCreery,' the former 'American Idol' winner's first yuletide studio collection.

McCreery graciously took calls from fans and offered the live studio audience performances of 'Holly Jolly Christmas,' 'Christmas Time Pretty Baby' and 'Christmas in Heaven' -- a few of the highlights from the holiday-themed collection, which hit store shelves and digital retailers last week.

According to QVC, sales of the exclusive box set of the Christmas collection and McCreery's platinum-selling debut album, 'Clear as Day,' exceeded 1,600 within minutes of the singer's appearance.

"It's my favorite song on the album," McCreery admitted before launching into 'Christmas in Heaven.' The track is one of only two original songs that made the cut on the 11-song collection.

"That was the toughest part of making this album -- the choices of the songs," said the country superstar during the on-camera interview. "There are so many different Christmas songs and they've been sung thousands of times. I sat there with pen and paper... Just sitting there crossing them off and erasing them."

Fans eager for more performances of their favorite holiday classics by the deep-voiced superstar can tune into the 'CMA Country Christmas' special this holiday season. The singer joins Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, returning host Jennifer Nettles and a handful of music superstars for the festive holiday prime time extravaganza.
