Shovels & Rope are readying the release of their upcoming album, 'Swimming Time.'

The married couple's third album is full of sometimes ominous stories that take place in the South, with the title track focusing on, rather than a summer vacation, the rise of sea levels. Other songs on the album hit on drug abuse, weak levees and the memory of a slave rebellion.

'Swimmin' Time' is currently available for streaming as part of NPR's 'First Listen' series. Listen here. The album is set for release on Aug. 26.

The duo recently released a video for the first song on the new album, 'The Devil is All Around.' Check it out below.
