State Troopers Led On High Speed Chase Turns Fatal On I-40
A State Trooper attempted to pull over a vehicle for speeding on I-40 before being involved in a high speed chase.
A State Trooper attempted to pull over a vehicle when he clocked it going over 90mph. The trooper flashed his lights but the car did not stop, the trooper then called for backup.
After running the license plates troopers found out the car was stolen in Illinois and the driver was wanted for attempted murder. In order to capture the suspect troopers had to lay out a spike strip.
The suspect swerved to miss the spike strip and collided with semi-truck. The suspect was pronounced dead on scene, one of the two people inside of the semi was injured with an apparent broken leg and transported to a hospital.
