Amarillo Venom

I have worked for several of our local sports teams over the years. I hung out at the ticket booth and was on the mic in between innings for the Amarillo Sox. I ran all over the Amarillo Civic Center for many years as well for the Amarillo Bulls. I even spent some time doing the same thing for the Amarillo Venom.

This Halloween is certainly going to be a bit different this year. The Amarillo Venom Football team will be hosting Trunk or Treat October 31 at Gene Messer Ford

In the beginning of Covid-19 we saw a lot of things shutting down. We saw the schools, restaurants, shopping, travel and to add to all of that the Amarillo Civic Center.Of course all the events were being cancelled or postponed anyway.

Last Saturday’s scheduled Champions Indoor Football game between the Amarillo Venom and the Dallas Marshals was postponed due to uncertainty surrounding the Dallas team.

A new flavor in regional professional sports is coming to Amarillo.
