Christmas is a magical time of year and it is a time to make memories. Families all over the world celebrate Christmas with certain traditions. Some are fun and festive and others are just plain weird. However, we all have our traditions we love and here are a few from our friends here in Amarillo.

The Cowboy Christmas Ball returns to Amarillo with a Country music legend.  So get ready to shine up your boots and kick up your heels and dance the night away. During the 25th Cowboy Christmas with Michael Martin Murphey.

Does the idea of winter just make you so happy? Or are you one of those that just want to hibernate until the spring?

This holiday season, I will be sending a package or two through the mail and it's good to know when those packages have to be in the mail to make it under someone else's tree in time. Here's a great reminder on those US Post Office shipping details.

A few years ago a couple of families got together and opened up a Christmas light tour just outside of Amarillo. Over 400,000 lights (maybe more) to over this piece of land and created a Christmas Wonderland.

Legend has it, every year, Santa's elves take the big sleigh out for an early test run to blow off the dust. But this year, something went wrong and they lost a bag of Santa's presents.

Once or twice in a lifetime you have to have a real tree in your home for Christmas.  There's something magical about having that amazing tree standing in your home, holding all your precious ornaments.  The perfect place to get that tree is Troop 80 Treeland.

One of the best parts of the holiday season in Amarillo is Center City's Electric Light Parade. A parade that lights up downtown Amarillo. Thousands of people descend on downtown to revel in the craftiness of each float.

I am one of those get your Christmas shopping done early type people. I usually start the last week of October and I'm done by the end of November. Which nothing has changed. I'm moving right along with those gift purchases, however this morning I realized something that made me very sad.
