Oklahoma has passed a bill that makes it legal for teachers and staff to carry guns in the classroom. However, these teachers must have proper firearm training. The school board will determine which staff and teachers will be able to carry the firearms and they must complete a armed security guard or reserve peace officer training program.
One school in Texas has joined the ranks of many others in the state to allow certain teachers on campus to carry concealed weapons.
