Despite cruel Twitter rumors that he had died in his sleep or drowned in a duck pond, ultra-cute pup Boo the Pomeranian is very much alive and well and recently posted a statement on Facebook to prove it. Yay! Were you as distraught as us when you heard the false reports?

Reba McEntire‘s fans weren’t the only ones devastated when a death hoax surrounding the flame-haired country queen spread across the web fast enough to become a trending topic. As it turns out, McEntire’s own nephew suffered panic attack when he caught wind of the virally spreading “news” that his aunt had plummeted to her death after falling from a mountain while filming in Austria.

We’re only a month into 2012 and already either the world is ending, aliens are landing or everyone is getting hoaxed. Or, possibly, there’s an actual scientific explanation for the mass amount of YouTube videos capturing bizarre sounds that are being heard around the globe. Are we witnessing the beginning of a full-scale alien invasion?

It quickly became clear that rumors of Reba McEntire‘s death were part of a hoax, but it’s still a relief to have the singer herself available to assure fans that everything is OK. McEntire took to her Twitter page on Tuesday afternoon to try to explain the hoax.

On Dec. 28th, Bagaudin Marshani, Russia’s Minister of Labor and Social Development in the Southern Republic of Ingushetia, reported the capture of a  Bigfoot-like creature by hunters. But, alas, it was quickly revealed that the “animal” was nothing more than a person in a suit. Or was that just another hoax to hide the truth about Bigfoot?
