The new Muppets show is almost here.

The latest of weird, but funny, Super Bowl 2014 commercials features one of 'The Expendables' sharing a ride with Jim Henson's anthropomorphic, puppetized band.

If you grew up watching Sesame Street, The Muppet Show or Star Wars then you are very familiar with the work of Frank Oz. Frank Richard Oznowski was born on May 25, 1944 and has entertained a generation of children along with Jim Henson on Sesame Street.

Had he not sadly passed away in 1990, Jim Henson would be 77 today. But his work lives on, and with a new movie due out next year, The Muppets are continuing to entertain new generations. Today we're celebrating Jim Henson by sharing some amazing facts about his most famous creation: Kermit the Frog.
