There's always so much great food on the Thanksgiving table, but there's also always that dish or two that you steer clear of. Maybe you're allergic to it or maybe you just pretend to be because it's really that bad lol.  At my house it's something called Pear Salad that my husband and his family have made for years at the holidays. It's simply a canned pear, with a dollop of mayo and topped with shredded cheese. Who knew three simple ingredients could create such a disgusting dish !  I refuse to make it and he refuses to do without it lol.   So here are the top 5 holiday recipe offenders that most people say they could do without.

    Giblet Gravy

Honestly, just the word 'giblet' makes me nervous. If you don't know exactly what that is, you really don't want to know. It's a basically just parts and pieces swimming around in gravy. And that is what makes Giblet Gravy the ultimate feast offender !

    Canned Cranberry

While some people love this one, many others just cant handle the jelly like substance that holds its can shaped appearance. Congealed fruit substance just doesn't give ya much to be thankful for. Try the real deal instead !

    Jello Salads

Basically anytime you take fruits, veggies and something like cottage cheese and contain it all inside Jello you can prepare for disaster. I feel like even the food needs an apology for making this one.

    Turkey

Ok, ok not ALL turkey. Just the ones that come out dry and about as tasty as the shoes you're wearing. We look so forward to it each Thanksgiving but they can sometimes end up as better leftovers. For some tips on making sure your turkey doesn't make this list check out this link !

    Hominy

Hominy...It's the ugly, awkward cousin of corn. Yes, there's a good chance the first Thanksgiving had hominy on the table but that's a tradition that I'm fine with breaking.
