It was on this day, February 3rd, fifty-seven years ago, that Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J. P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson were killed in a plane crash in Iowa, along with their pilot, Roger Peterson.

The event later became known as "The Day the Music Died," after Don McLean's song "American Pie."

It is well known in the Texas Music scene that Stewart and Garrett Mann of the Statesboro Revue are fans of Buddy Holly, and his Rock and Roll legacy. Stewart has even portrayed Holly in on stage productions - many times.

Today the brothers commemorated "The Day the Music Died," posting a video of them singing the Buddy Holly classic "Think it Over."
