We are finally to the official kick off of Summer, Memorial Day Weekend.  Lots of people will be firing up the grills, the smokers and more.   Folks will be gathering in backyards and at the lake, and at the parks.  So in honor of the great BBQs that will be happening this weekend here's the top 10 things to BBQ this weekend.

1. Steak

A good T-Bone, NY Strip, Filet, what ever it is, a grilled steak is the best thing in the world.  Medium Rare-Medium and you will be in heaven.  Pair it up with some grilled asparagus (see below) and you'll be in heaven.

2. Brisket

Now to get the perfect brisket it takes time which means break out the smoker, plan on staying up all night and having the perfect brisket.  Are you ready?

3. Ribs

What goes with brisket?  Ribs.  However, the ribs have to be falling off the bone.  Those are the best.  However, whether it's pork or beef I'll leave that up to you, they are equally good.

4. Jalapeno Poppers

I am the queen of the poppers.  I love to stuff those green peppers with some cream cheese, shredded cheese, maybe a shrimp then wrap them in bacon and throw them on the grill.

5. Sausage

There is nothing like a grilled sausage wrapped in a tortilla (which has been heated up on the grill.  Gotta love the grill marks).

6. Bacon Wrapped Grilled Asparagus

I will admit, this has been something of a new thing for me, but I have recently fallen in love with Grilled asparagus.  I think it might have to do with the bacon, but if you haven't tried this, I encourage you to do so this weekend.  You can find all sorts of recipes on Pinterest.

7. Hamburgers

If you don't have the time to spend smoking a brisket, you can't go wrong with just hamburgers.  You can make hamburgers fancy and then throw them on the grill.  However, if you are cooking hamburgers on the grill you can't forget the cheese melted on the burger.

8. Veggies

There is nothing better than some squash, zuchinni, onions, peppers cooked on the grill.

9. Chicken

You can jazz up a piece of chicken with all sorts of marinades then throw it on the grill.  It is so much better cooked on a grill rather than in the oven, or in a pan.  So fall in love with chicken again and get those great grill marks.

10.  Hot Dogs

Yes this is the American staple for the BBQ.  Hot Dogs.  I'll admit I'm not a fan of the hot dog, but rest assured if you are BBQing and there are kids around, then there will be dogs on the grill.

In fact, according to  Weber Grill, over 5,000,000 hot dogs will be eaten between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
