Ya may want to hit the gym before you book your next flight to avoid the embarrassment this woman says she endured recently on a Southwest flight. Kenlie Tiggeman was told that both her and her mother were too fat to fly on a recent layover in Dallas.

Tiggeman, who has lost 120 pounds in the last two years, told the news organization: "It doesn't matter how far I have come. I have a long way to go, but no one sees that. All they see is my exterior - someone who is fat." ( via MSN.com)

But Southwest Airlines are sticking to their guns, and their policy.

Southwest's "Customers of Size" policy clearly states passengers who cannot fit between the 17-inch armrests must purchase a second seat.

According to Southwest they are usually discreet with their concerns and take customers into a private area to test out the seating before boarding.

Tiggeman and her mother however, say that they were anything but discreet and were actually humiliated for 45 minutes in front of over 100 people. Finally, they were offered a chance to fly if they would sit with on the same row as another large woman.

Tiggeman's mother told MSNBC: "Of course my daughter was okay with that. But I wasn't because the deal I made with Southwest when I left, I bought a ticket and it's open seating, and you can sit wherever you want."

After almost a full hour the ladies were allowed to fly without buying additional seats. They were even given a free ticket which Kenlie says she used to fly to LA to workout with Richard Simmons.
