December, 14th, 2012 will be a day to remember for everyone. It was the day where 27 people lost their lives in the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting, 20 of those dead were children.

While some people have become advocates trying to raise gun awareness, some are trying to bring more attention to mental health issues in the nation. Others are wanting to express their feelings without getting any politics involved.

That is why Kevin Vanover from Port St. Lucie, Florida created the "Walk 27" event on Friday (Dec. 21st) morning. He is asking people around the nation and the world to spare 27 minutes of their morning to walk in memory of those who lost their lives in the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting.

Wherever you participate from they ask you wear green and white, those are the Sandy Hook Elementary school colors. The event will begin 9:30am ET, 8:30am CT on Friday, December 21st.
