Kane Brown had a very special surprise guest at a recent radio station appearance: Randy Travis. The country icon showed up at America's Morning Show while Brown was performing one of Travis' biggest hits, "Three Wooden Crosses."

In the video above, which was shared on Travis' official Facebook page, Travis can be seen walking down the radio station's hallway and heading into the studio in which Brown is performing. The door is behind Brown, so he doesn't see Travis until after he's been standing in the doorway for a few moments -- but when he does, Brown's rendered speechless.

"This is crazy," Brown says after he hugs Travis; when someone asks if he's able to finish the song, he admits, "I don't know, I'm scared." Brown does head back to his stool and microphone to continue his performance, but after a few lines, he asks Travis to come sit near him as he completes the song. Readers can press play above to watch the moment.

Brown first shared his cover of "Three Wooden Crosses" via YouTube in mid-October; posting cover songs on social media is a large part of how Brown built up his fan base and got signed to a major label earlier this year. He will release his debut album on Dec. 2.

Written by Kim Williams and Doug Johnson, "Three Wooden Crosses" became a No. 1 hit for Travis following its release as a single in 2002; it was one of the Top 20 country songs for the entire year of 2003 (No. 17 on the year-end charts) and also earned a spot just outside the Top 30 (No. 31) on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100. "Three Wooden Crosses" earned the Song of the Year trophy at the 2003 CMA Awards as well.

Since his 2013 stroke, Travis has been largely unable to speak (or sing); in mid-January, one of Travis’ good friends told a newspaper that the country icon’s recovery prognosis is good, and at the announcement of his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in late March, his wife, Mary Davis, called his progress a series of “giant baby steps.” At a private funeral in early February and his Country Music Hall of Fame induction in mid-October, Travis surprised those in attendance by singing a bit of "Amazing Grace" -- and following Travis' Hall of Fame induction, the Country Music Association announced that he will be performing at the 2016 CMA Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 2).
