September 16th is Mexico's Independence Day and there are some local celebrations happening including one at the Wildcat Bluff Nature Center.

Wildcat Bluff Nature Center is hosting and event called Sunset, Wildflowers and Wine.  It is meant to be a fun event to help celebrate Mexico's Independence Day.  It's also Hispanic Heritage month this September, so they want to embrace that part of history,  present and future together!

They are going to have a pinata, music, food, maybe evening dancing.  It is also a potluck dinner so you are invited to bring or make a Mexican dish to enjoy.

It will be all the joys of Mexico, without the long drive south. You are also encouraged to bring along some Dos Equis or your favorite Mexican beer or a little tequila maybe.  Or any of your favorite Mexican drinks.

It happens Wednesday, September 16th.  There is a small cover charge.  Members are free, adults $3, and kids over 3 and seniors 65+ $2.

Wildcat Bluff Nature Center is at 2301 N Soncy Rd, open everyday from sunrise to sunset.
