If you have a pet, you probably consider your dog or cat as part of your family.  But when is it crossing the line.  Would you give you pet a wedding?

Dog parties are on the rise.  Birthdays, showers and yes, even weddings are becoming a popular thing with the pet community.  I am not a pet owner, so that is probably why I find this a little ridiculous.

I like animals, but I have never had any kind of pet.  I feel that I don't have the time to give them the attention they need.  But I have nothing against them or their owners.  Now that that is out of the way, let me voice my opinion on crazy dog owners.

When doggie clothes came out, I thought that is crazy but to each their own.  But now, I hear that pet owners are spending thousands of dollars on doggie weddings-that's insane.  I would never spend money to throw my dog a wedding!

I actually did a little research because I thought it was so crazy.  It happens.  There are websites dedicated to pet parties.  There are websites dedicated to pet clothing.  And yes, there are websites dedicated to pet weddings.

You can find everything from tuxedos and gowns to cakes to reception foods and party favors.  And instead of exchanging rings, they exchange dog tags.  These websites even have clothing for bridal parties and guests.

Divorce rates among people are extremely high, but apparently dog marriages are lasting.  Would you ever give your dog a wedding.
