Palo Duro graduate and Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Ziggy Hood is coming back to Amarillo.

Evander "Ziggy" Hood, 25, a defensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers will be coming to Amarillo on Saturday (July 14th) for the West Texas Youth Football League banquet.

Hood is from Amarillo, he attended Travis Middle School and graduated from Palo Duro High School. Hood played college football at the University of Missouri and was drafted 32nd pick in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has recorded 58 tackles, 5.5 sacks in his 3 year NFL career, including one of those sacks came in 2012 when the Pittsburgh Steelers took on the Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl.

The WTYFL Banquet will take place from 6p-9p inside the Grand Plaza at the Amarillo Civic Center. Tickets are $40 per person, or 2 tickets for $65 when you use the "Black & Yellow" promo code.
