High school football season is in full swing!

We're just now entering the fall season, which means there will be more district games between local teams.

Last week, Tascosa beat Amarillo High in their annual rivalry game, marking the end of a six-year losing streak.

This week, Canyon took on Big Spring on Friday night. They beat the Steers 42-14. Canyon is currently undefeated.

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for other Amarillo schools. On Thursday night, Tascosa lost 27-24 to the Lawton Macarthur Highlanders and Randall lost to Lubbock Coronado 34-19.

Palo Duro did win in their Friday night game against Bushland. The final score was 38-8.

This week is the Canyon High School homecoming. They will play Hereford on Friday at Kimbrough Stadium.

On Thursday, Amarillo High will play Caprock. On Friday, Tascosa plays Odessa, Randall plays Dumas, and Palo Duro plays Plainview.
