Amarillo, Texas’s Empty Lot Mystery Solved as Sweet Sign Announces New Business

Amarillo loves to celebrate the new places that are coming to our city. We love new shopping, we love new adventures and we certainly love new places with food. Any time a new location is announced we can't help but feel a little excitement.

It was earlier this year when we heard that this vacant lot on Olsen had sold. We just had to wait to see what might be moving in. It had been a location that was just a piece of land for as long as we can remember.

That was about to change with the new ownership.

We had no idea about the new business that could be joining in that location. All we could do was dream. That answer was given to us recently. We are about to get a sixth location of one particular donut spot.

What Amarillo Business is Getting a Sixth Location?

There are currently four locations of Got Donuts? in the Texas Panhandle:

• 902 S Dumas Ave, Dumas, TX
• 2601 Canyon Drive, Amarillo, TX
• 3510 River Rd, Amarillo, TX
• 601 23rd St, Canyon, TX

Late last year they had announced their fifth location that would be built on an empty lot on Washington Street. They have not started the building of that one yet but it is still coming to Amarillo.

Now before they even broke ground on the fifth location, a sixth one has been announced on Olse Boulevard.

The new location is set to be here in 2026. It will be on the corner lot right next to Coconutz and across the street from Sai Indian Cuisine. It's always a good thing to see Amarillo growing. It's also good to see this business thriving.
