Have you ever thought you really would like to help out an organization in Amarillo, but you just don't have the funds right now? I mean, everything is expensive, but you still want to find a way to help.

The Amarillo Zoo is looking for some help for their upcoming Boo at the Zoo. If you haven't already secured your tickets, there is still time. They are, though, requesting pine cones to help with an upcoming project.

Why the Zoo Needs Pine Cones

Maybe you have an abundance of pine cones on your property and would love to donate them. Or maybe you take walks around the neighborhood and come across so many on those walks. The Amarillo Zoo would love to have whatever you come across.

How to Donate Your Pine Cones

Calling all pine cone donors: don't throw them away, give them to the Zoo!
Drop off your unwanted pine cone at the Amarillo Zoo any day during regular business hours before October 10th to help us create some fun crafts for Boo at the Zoo.

Boo at the Zoo Dates & Details

During Boo at the Zoo on October 17th and 18th, they are offering a Halloween-themed craft project for the kids. That project will include using pine cones. So if you have pine cones to spare, the Amarillo Zoo would be happy to take them.

Other Ways to Support the Amarillo Zoo

They will need to be dropped off at the Amarillo Zoo by October 10th so they can get the project together. There is a form that you can fill out if you want to help in any other way at the Amarillo Zoo during Boo at the Zoo.

It's going to be a great couple of nights out at the Amarillo Zoo. We already have our tickets for our family. Make sure you get yours. I can't wait to see what kind of project Laila comes home with involving a pine cone. All they need now is your extra pine cones.
