If you had been a big fan of The Potato Factory, you may be longing for somewhere to go to fill that void. I get why they closed. There probably was no coming back from that, even with saying there were new owners.

The problem is that they served good food. The potatoes were often praised time and time again. So I get that their closing has hit Amarillo where it hurts, in the stomach.

Since their closing in the past month, Amarillo is hunting for a new go-to when it comes to potatoes. There is a food truck in the area that has been around before this whole Potato Factory fiasco.

Potato My Way: A Food Truck Favorite

They’re called Potato My Way. They have been around Amarillo for over a year and a half and have had some great reviews. You can follow their page to find out how you can find them around town. That is one option in Amarillo.

Cream Over Waffle Expands Menu

A second one has emerged. Sometimes, when a business sees a need, it can try to help fill it. That is what COW (Cream Over Waffle) has recently done. They took their food truck and opened a standalone location on Soncy. They are in the former Marble Slab location.

They have their delicious ice cream menu, but they also serve food. They decided that with everyone missing The Potato Factory, here is an opportunity to fill that void. They have just introduced their potato menu at their location.

New Options for Amarillo Potato Fans

They have several potatoes to choose from or you can build your own tater. You can't go wrong.

So when you are missing one option in Amarillo, just know that there are others. That is the great thing in Amarillo. Someone sees a need and jumps in to help. That is what is so great about our city.
