Pumpkin Fun Is Back For 15th Year In Amarillo

Pumpkins, fireworks, pumpkins, corn mazes, pumpkins, slides, oh did I mention pumpkins?

It's that time of year when we see those glorious round (most of the time) and orange carvable goodies, and in Amarillo, there's a little more than just the pumpkins to mess with.

Maxwell's Pumpkin Farm is all set to open its doors for the yearly family fun, and after having the chance to check it out last year for the first time, I can tell you my family will be one of the first ones waiting at the doors.

This will be the 15th year Maxwell's has been around for the fall season, and all the things you've come to know and love about it are back.

I'll be the first to admit that I thought we were just going to a place that had a boatload of pumpkins to choose from and a corn maze to walk through. I'm so glad I was proven wrong.

First things first, that corn maze was DIFFICULT to figure out. Now maybe it's because it's the first time I'd ever been in a corn maze, but I can tell you we weren't the only ones going around in circles.

All the other fan favorites you're used to seeing there will be back. The wagon train ride, pedal cars, jump pad, tube slides, and the always fun apple cannons will make their return...and they've got a little something else up their sleeve.

Owner Larry Borger said they'll have helicopter rides on October 8th and 9th to celebrate their 15th birthday! You won't find me on one of those rides, helicopters creep me out, but I know a lot of people will take advantage of it.

The doors open on September 24th and will be open every Saturday and Sunday through October 30th. And yes, we'll have some free passes for you to get in, so stay close to your app!
