
Tascosa High School’s Makeover Catches Amarillo’s Attention Ahead of First Bell
When the bell rings for the first time on August 14th in Amarillo, kids will be back in school. But before that moment, families and schools are working hard behind the scenes to get ready for the big day.
There is a lot of shopping going on in Amarillo, so the kids are prepared. They want to look their best. Families will head all over Amarillo to get new clothes and new shoes. All of the supplies will be bought. Even though we hate to see summer end, it is almost time to start the learning process up for the new year.

Teachers are getting ready too. The lesson plans are being put together. The classrooms are getting decorated and ready for that first day, and for the students to start filing in. Over the summer, there have been some changes.

Some schools are welcoming new teachers and administrators. Some students are starting in a new environment. All the excitement of what this new school year holds is in front of us.
Tascosa High Gets a New Look for Fall
Driving around Amarillo, I had to do a double-take. I went to Rosa's to partake in another Taco Tuesday, which always leads me to driving right by Tascosa High School. That is when I made this new discovery.
An outside wall that was once a little bland, letting us all know that this is Tascosa High School, is now not so bland. The once white lettering is now bright red and black. It now stands out.

The signage that Tascosa Students could be proud of. I did recently see the school showing off the new look when I noticed something else. The missing horse that has always been there.
What Happened to the Missing Tascosa Horse?
Apparently, it is gone but will be back. It is getting fixed after it cracked during another project.
It (the horse) got cracked when we moved it to pave the patio. We moved it inside and plan to get it fixed at some point and put him back out front! - Tascosa High School
So, Tascosa High School is getting ready for the first day of school and letting everyone know that they are ready.
